MTECHTIPS:Oil gets a lift from decent U.S., Chinese data

Crude oil futures rose slightly in the early part of Monday’s Asian session following some decent economic data points out of the U.S. last week. In Asian trading Monday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude oil futures for February delivery added 0.19% to USD87.42 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate traded as high USD87.62 per barrel and as low as USD87.36 in the early going of the Asian session.
