MTECHTIPS:Gold slightly lower in Asia as fiscal cliff talks continue

Gold futures continued their losing ways, falling modestly in Monday’s Asian session as U.S. policymakers continued discussing the fiscal cliff. Despite all the negotiations, no resolution appears imminent.On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for February delivery fell 0.23% to USD1,693.15 per troy ounce. The contract traded as high as USD1,700.95 and as low as 1691.05 per ounce.
