MTECHTIPS:Cardamom decline due to subdued trade

Mtechtips has come out with its report on Cardamom.Cardamom contracts may decline due to subdued trade in the spot markets, owing to Christmas holidays next week. The demand from north Indian buyers have slow down due decline in sales in major markets amid severe cold over the regions. In the medium-term, however, cardamom is expected to rebound due to lower production estimates this year. Traders expect domestic production of cardamom to be around 12000 tonnes in 2012-13 as against 18000 tonnes a year ago.
